The “Bistra & Galina” Hotel proprietor Mr. Strashimir Burdarov will apply the pattern of sponsoring Rousse culture and young talents by yet another business investment. On October 1 2003 the first excavation works of the extension of the “Bistra & Galina” Hotel – 2 were made. The new hotel is to open up in a year. Mr. Burdarov, president of the Foundation, is intent on investing the hotel profits in the promotion of arts and talents in Rousse. The existing hotel complex follows the same pattern – after covering expenses, the remaining funds go to finance the Foundation activities.

The desire of the Burdarov family is to persevere in building their vision for the future and thus prove sceptics wrong that fewer and fewer people are willing to donate funds for the development of education, culture and arts.
The “Bistra & Galina” Foundation mission is to promote activities which can create conditions, beneficial to the formation of high-minded persons of a rich cultural background, encourage creativity and construction, contribute to the further enhancement of cultural communication among people. Consequently its aims focus on assistance for education, professional instruction and creative development of the talented children and gifted young people from Rousse and the region.
Only for the year 2003 the “Bistra & Galina” Foundation funded projects in the amount of 18 989 levs within the four programmes: “The Talented Children of Rousse”, “The Family of the Good People”, “Partnership” and “Open Programme”.
