The president of “Sasha Impex” Company, Mr. Strashimir Bardarov, was awarded the Golden Statuette for Business Prestige by the world organization of BID (Business Initiative Directions), seated in Madrid. On 12 July 2001, at an official ceremony at Mariotte Marquis Hotel in New York, Mr. Jose Prieto, Chairman of the organization, personally handed Mr. Bardarov the award. The Foundation was awarded the prize as a result of a selection performed by a special jury after a preliminary selection on the basis of information about the nominated companies provided by the media, advertising agencies, business consultants, partners, chambers of commerce, expos and the respective embassies. For 10 years, “Sasha Impex” Company has been exporting leather for the European and Asian markets. Mr. Strashimir Bardarov is Chairman of the “Bistra and Galina” Foundation and main sponsor of its programs through the company and the “Bistra and Galina” Hotel. With the kind cooperation of “Sasha Impex”, the transportation and customs fees (84105 lv.) for five containers of humanitarian aid from Holland were paid in 2001.

Notary Petia Trendafilova - /new member/ - born in Isperih, graduated from the Pedagogical Institute of Rousse, at the Department of Children’s Pedagogy, and specialized in Law at the University of Sofia “St Kliment Ohridski”. For 6 years she worked as a lawyer. Since 1998 she has been a notary, member of the Notary Chamber. Married, her son works at the family restaurant and her daughter continues the family tradition, being a law student.
